The #SoTech presentation at Social Collective 2010

Social Collective was held on the 30th September 2010 in London, bringing together collective thoughts on Social Media for 2011. It was pegged as more than just ‘another’ event, looking to bring together some of the leading authorities in Social Media, ‘A Forward Thinking Social Media conference.’

Paul, Shannon, and I evolved our presentation from one on social media marketing to…

#SoTech – Marketing, Advertising, PR in the era of social

It’s not social media
It’s not PR
It’s not marketing
Its simply the evolution of business

We invited attendees to come and here why we believe the next Social Media talking points should be more about enabling businesses and less about racking up followers.

The full presentation is below.

The SoTech infographic designers: Hold

Hold brighton based design studioWhen we started looking around for a talented design team to created the SoTech infographic v1.0 we turned to, where else, Twitter and were quickly connected to Brighton based design studio Hold.

Co-founder Anthony Oram was keen to get involved and understood what we wanted from literally being sent a dodgy mind map with loads of brainstorm ideas dropped on to it. Within 48 hours they’d already sent us not one, not two, but FOUR draft designs – all of which fitted the bill perfectly.

We cannot stress enough how lucky we were to find them and their incredible generosity at delivering the work within impossible deadlines and at mates rates. [Don't be like us. They deserve better.]

Data visualisation and infographics are hot property right now for both internal and external communications. You’d be smart to get in touch with Hold today and see how they can give a fresh perspective to your design requirements.

We love you guys!
